The characteristics of this work is that it only uses 3 colors- black, white and orange, the picture is flat and doesn't seem to have any texture to it at all. A lot of shape has been used it this picture. Saul Bass has used blocks of color to create the shapes of the hat, glasses, letters and ties. Sail Bass has also used tone in his work because of the contrast between the black and orange and also white and black.
Its good because you can clearly see what the picture is telling you and also it has the title clearly in the centre of the picture.

 The characteristics of this work is that its only used 2 colors- black and yellow. The image doesn't look like it has very much texture except in the work 'THE' because of the face created using dots. There is tone because of the contrast with the bright yellow and the black lettering. There is shape because of the font type of the title and also in the words at the top and bottom. Its good because you can clearly see what its about but it doesn't give you a visual representation of it.



 The characteristics of this picture is that he has only used 3 colors - red, black and white. in this picture there is line used to create the twister shape and also for the text. The picture looks like it has texture because of the word 'TWISTER'. There is tone created by having the contrast of black and white next to each other and the all red background. Its good because you can clearly see what its about and also it have a good visual representation of what its about.

 The characteristics of this picture is that it has a good sense of tone and contrast because of the bright yellow and the black writing a silhouette's. It doesn't look like it has much texture and looks quite flat. He has used only 3 colors as usual. There is a good use of shape in this picture because of the jagged shape going through the picture, and by having that white it makes it stand out from the rest of the picture and also its central so it catches you attention. Its good because by having the color yellow it links in the feeling of summer.

The characteristics of this picture is that it has a good use of shape because of the flames like tyre marks on the bottom of the picture and also the arrows in the centre of the picture with the title of the picture. He has used 4 different colors and its the only one with 4 colors than 3 colors or less. The characteristics of this picture is that it has a good use of shape because of the steps incorporated into the title. It looks like it has texture because of the was the title has been done. There is also repetition in the silhouettes one black and one white and this is also a visual representation of that its about. Its good because its layout  is done well by having the title right in the centre of the picture.
